Tea on the stage of Arena di Verona :)

An enchanting atmosphere welcomed us at the InAsia day, a cultural event organized by the InAsia association and hosted by L'Opificio dei Sensi, an old factory converted into a cultural open space.

Hundreds of participants joined an evening of music, dance, art and culture; a glance into the rich InAsia 2015/16 program.

In a secluded and quite corner of the backyard, a secret aviary hides behind tall trees. On its creaking wooden floor, surrounded by nature, Michela and I set the tables for the tea tasting. The old floorboards once belonged to the stage of Arena di Verona!

Till sunset and beyond Michela and I prepared tea, without break. With so many guests to serve organization was mandatory. The participants selected one of four tea category (white, green, oolong, black) and came in group of six at either Michela's or mine gongfu cha table. This way we were able to serve more than seventy interested guests!

The participants could choose among:

  • White tea
  • Green tea
    • A delicate Huangshan Maofeng, or
    • A fuller Long Jing
  • Oolong tea
    • Jin Xuan from taiwan, steeped both hot and cold
    • Fo shou, a balanced Rock Rea
  • Black tea
    • Zhen Shan Xiao Zhong (a new tea, not yet available online)
