Silk Jar

These elegant jars provide a refined and secure method of storing tea, and make an stately fixture in any cabinet, kitchen shelf, or tea stash.

Made solely of snow-white porcelain, each has been hand-crafted by potters in Jingdezhen, the Chinese 'Porcelain Capital', where ceramics are "as thin as paper, as white as jade, as bright as a mirror, and as sound as a bell." Sturdy and airtight, the lid carefully sanded to fit the body, the jars protect tea from light, dust, and excess oxygen, and do not absorb odours. Read more about our process of selecting and commissioning them for use in our own Berlin teahouse, or take a look at their smaller companion.
