Sencha

sakuramidori

Among the rarest of Japanese cultivars, Sakuramidori has a rich texture with gentle notes of cherry blossoms and an uplifting fresh aftertaste. The buttery body complements the floral quality of the leaves for a balanced taste of unexpected complexity.

To dive deeper into the ways cultivars can radically influence taste, steep this Sakuramidori cultivar alongside our other single-cultivar Senchas:

  • ORIGIN:  Shizuoka, Japan
  • MEANING:  Simmered tea (sencha)
  • CULTIVAR:  Sakuramidori

  • TASTE:  Seaweed, cream, cherry blossoms

Preparation
IN THE TEAPOT

GONGFU CHA METHOD
  • Quantity: 3g / 100ml
