Yiwu Lucky Bee 2018

 

Mild, mineral, and milky, this is an exquisite and delicate Pu'er which might have been designed to please oolong lovers: with the minerality of dark Chinese varieties and the creaminess of eponymous milky oolongs, only a hint of typical earthiness betrays this Sheng Pu'er. Its large leaves, wafting hints of grapefruit, lobster mushrooms, and a tiny hint of honey, produce infusion after ethereal infusion, enough to glide the tea drinker through an afternoon on cloud top. Add to that the satisfaction of consuming small-farm tea produced without artificial fertilisers or pesticides, and you have a recipe for the vibrant relaxation which only Sheng can provide.

Preparation
IN THE TEAPOT
  • Quantity: 6g / 500ml
  • Water temperature: 100°C
  • Infusion time: 4 min
GONGFU CHA METHOD
  • Quantity: 5g / 100ml
  • Water temperature: 100°C
  • Several infusions: 2-15 sec.

Start with 2 seconds. Increase steadily after the 5th infusion. Never exceed 15 seconds.
For best results in gongfu cha, brew in a Yixing teapot.
